Stanmore Coal offers an opportunity to invest in a growing coal exploration and development company with assets located in the Surat and Bowen Basins in central Queensland.

Stanmore Coal is targeting coal production by 2016 from an existing JORC Inferred Resource of 686 million tonnes and further upside from multiple exploration projects which are all 100 percent owned (except Mackenzie 98%).

Investment Highlights
Pure play coal company focussed on world class regions
  • Stanmore Coal offers an attractive entry point into the coal sector in Australia with a diversified portfolio of development and exploration properties that will produce coking, thermal and PCI coal.
  • All of the exploration projects are situated in Queensland's Bowen and Surat Basins, which are major suppliers of some of the world's best coking, PCI and thermal coals.

First coal production from The Range in 2016

  • Pre-feasibility Study completed and Bankable Feasibility Study near-completion
  • 94Mt Market Coal Reserves1 underpin infrastructure applications
  • Mine life of 26 years, further extensions possible from defined Exploration Target
  • Competitive operating, capital and value metrics

Projects close to export infrastructure

  • Stanmore Coal's EPCs are located near rail infrastructure which provides access to the export ports at Gladstone and Dalrymple Bay
  • Stanmore has secured 5Mtpa of capacity at Wiggins Island Coal Terminal Expansion Stage 1 (WEXP1) and holds priority rights for access to WEXP2

Significant exploration upside

  • Portfolio of over 2,770 km2 of highly prospective, granted exploration tenements which sit within Queensland's prime Bowen Basin and developing Surat Basin coal regions
  • Additional Exploration Target2 of 975 – 1,498Mt at The Range, Tennyson, Clifford and Belview projects
  • Additional potential upside via Kerlong and New Cambria projects yet to be assessed for tonnage targets
  • Further exploration targets are under EPC application

Highly experienced Board and management focussed on growth

  • The Board and management team have a proven track record in the identification, exploration, development and operation of coal assets in Queensland and NSW; as well as the formation of a number of successful coal and coal seam gas companies
  • The Board and Management of Stanmore Coal have a successful track record in mergers and acquisitions which will complement Stanmore Coal's planned corporate growth strategy
  • Stanmore Coal believes it can enhance shareholder value through the identification and delivery of logical acquisitions such as Comet Coal & Coke, acquired in September 2009

  1. Marketable Reserves Note
The Marketable Coal Reserves of 94Mt is derived from a JORC compliant run of mine (ROM) Coal Reserve of 117.5Mt based on a 14.8% ash product and predicted yield of 80%.
  2. Exploration Target Note
All statements as to exploration targets of Stanmore Coal and statements as to potential quality and grade are conceptual in nature. There has been insufficient exploration undertaken to date to define a coal resource and identification of a resource will be totally dependent on the outcome of further exploration. Any statement contained in this report as to exploration results or exploration targets has been made consistent with the requirements of the Australasian code for reporting of exploration results, mineral resources and ore reserves (JORC Code).
  3. Yield Note
Note all yields and ash results reported include fines and exclude mining losses and dilution
